If you've ever fumbled with a business card at a conference — or worse, run out of them — you know the drill. You meet someone great, pat your pockets, and end up awkwardly spelling out your LinkedIn URL while they squint at their phone.
We built something to fix that for this year's GAM IIA conference.
What is it?
It's a simple web app that generates a personalized digital conference badge featuring your headshot, company logo, name, title, and a QR code that links directly to your LinkedIn profile. Another attendee just scans your badge from your phone screen and they're connected.
How it works
1. Sign up at https://gam2026.assurcast.com
2. Fill in your profile — name, company, job title, and LinkedIn URL
3. Upload your headshot and company logo
4. Hit generate
That's it. You get a polished badge image you can save to your phone and pull up anytime during the conference. No app to install, no QR code generator to wrestle with.
Why we built it
Conferences are about making connections, and LinkedIn has become the default way professionals stay in touch after the handshake. But swapping LinkedIn profiles in person is still clunky. A scannable QR code on a good-looking badge makes it effortless — for both sides.
We also wanted to experiment with the idea of a "pop-up" app — something purpose-built for a single event, lightweight, and temporary. The app will be live for the duration of the conference and taken down at the end of the week.
