Terms of Service
Introduction
CPE.io LLC, a Georgia limited liability company, doing business as Audit Risk Media ("Audit Risk Media," "we," or "us") refers to employees, independent contractors, agents, and representatives ("our Team"). By using the Assurcast platform, you're agreeing to these Terms.
We provide a broadcast-style news feed, jobs board, and content platform for internal audit and assurance professionals (the "Services"). The Assurcast platform (the "Platform") includes the website at assurcast.com (the "Site"), the Assurcast API, the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, and the Assurcast Chrome Extension (the "Extension"). The Platform delivers curated stories, job listings, email broadcasts, and professional tools to its users.
As a user of the Platform, or a representative of an entity that's using the Platform, you're a "User" according to this agreement (or "you"). These Terms of Service ("Terms," including our Privacy Policy) define the terms and conditions under which you're allowed to use the Assurcast Platform and how we'll treat your account while you're a User.
Account
1. Eligibility
In order to use the Assurcast Platform, you must:
- be at least eighteen (18) years old and able to enter into contracts;
- agree to these Terms;
- provide accurate and complete registration information if you create an account; and
- comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
By using the Assurcast Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet all the requirements listed above, and that you won't use the Platform in a way that violates any laws or regulations. You also agree not to use the Platform for any purpose it was not designed for. You specifically agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the Platform, whether through manual analysis, automated tools, or artificial intelligence. Audit Risk Media reserves the right to restrict access to the Platform and take appropriate legal action against users who violate these Terms.
2. Term
The Term begins when you create an account on the Platform, subscribe to email communications, or begin using the Services, and continues as long as you use the Services. Using the Platform means that you've officially "signed" the Terms. If you use the Platform on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.
You may terminate your use of the Assurcast Platform at any time by deleting your account or unsubscribing from email communications. You may request account deletion by contacting us. Upon account deletion, your account data and submissions will be removed from our systems. Anonymized analytics data (which cannot identify you personally) may be retained for aggregate reporting.
3. Changes
We may change any of the Terms by posting the revised Terms on the Platform. The new Terms will be effective immediately upon posting. By continuing to use the Platform after changes are posted, you agree to the revised Terms. We may change the Platform, the Services, or any features of the Services at any time.
4. Account and Password
If you create an account on Assurcast, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not responsible for any losses due to stolen or compromised passwords. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes and cannot be retrieved by us or anyone else.
5. User Data Disputes
We don't know your organization or the nature of your relationships, and we don't arbitrate disputes over who owns content submitted to the Platform or data associated with your account.
Rights
6. Proprietary Rights Owned by Us
You shall respect our proprietary rights in the Platform and the software used to provide the Assurcast Services (proprietary rights include patents, trademarks, service marks, trade secrets, and copyrights). The Assurcast name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of CPE.io LLC.
7. Proprietary Rights Owned by You
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Platform, including story submissions and job listings. By submitting content to Assurcast, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to publish, display, distribute, and promote your submitted content on the Platform and in email broadcasts. You represent and warrant that you have the right to submit such content and that it does not infringe on any third party's rights. We may use or disclose your materials only as we describe in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you use AI-assisted tools provided by the Platform — including AI-powered content creation, submission drafting, or third-party AI assistants connected via the MCP server — to create or modify submissions, the resulting content is still your submission and your sole responsibility. You must review, verify, and ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of any AI-assisted content before submitting it to the Platform.
8. Privacy Policy
We may use and disclose your information according to our Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy will be treated as part of these Terms.
9. Right to Review and Use Data
We collect and process analytics data about how the Platform is used, including page views, content clicks, feed requests, and email engagement. This data is used to improve the Platform, measure content performance, and provide aggregate reporting. IP addresses and session identifiers are hashed before storage; we do not store raw IP addresses in our analytics tables. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.
We may collect anonymized, aggregated usage data to improve our Services. Such aggregated data cannot identify you personally.
Rules and Abuse
10. General Rules
You promise to follow these rules:
- You will only submit content that you have the right to share and that is relevant to the internal audit and assurance profession.
- You won't submit false, misleading, defamatory, or spam content.
- You won't violate our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy.
- You won't use our Services in an unintended way.
- You won't use the Platform to violate any laws or regulations.
- You won't impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- You won't sell, license, sublicense, barter, trade, exchange, or otherwise distribute or transfer any content, data, or materials obtained from the Platform to any third party, whether for commercial gain or otherwise. Your access to Platform content is granted as a personal, non-transferable license for your own consumption only.
If you violate any of these rules, then we may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, including revoking your account, API keys, and email subscriptions.
11. API and MCP Usage Rules
If you use the Assurcast API or MCP server, you additionally agree to the following:
- You will only use API keys and MCP access for legitimate, authorized purposes consistent with these Terms.
- You won't scrape, bulk-download, systematically copy, or programmatically harvest content from the Platform, whether through the API, MCP server, RSS/Atom/JSON feeds, web pages, or any other means. You won't rebroadcast, syndicate, redistribute, or republish any Platform content — including feed content — through any medium without our prior written consent.
- You won't share, transfer, or sell your API keys to third parties.
- You won't circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits, scope restrictions, or other access controls.
- You won't use the API or MCP server to build a competing product or service, or to reproduce a substantial portion of the Platform's content.
- You won't use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the API or MCP server at a volume or frequency that degrades the service for other users.
- You won't rotate, cycle, or create multiple API keys to evade rate limits, usage monitoring, or access revocation.
- You won't sell, resell, license, sublicense, barter, trade, or otherwise commercially exploit or distribute any content, data, feeds, or materials obtained through the API or MCP server. Access is granted solely as a personal, non-transferable license for your own consumption and internal use.
API access is rate-limited to 60 requests per minute per IP address. API keys are scoped to specific permissions and may be revoked at any time. We monitor API and MCP usage for abuse patterns, including excessive request volumes, systematic content extraction, and key rotation to evade controls.
11b. Feed Usage Rules (RSS, Atom, JSON)
Assurcast provides RSS, Atom, and JSON feeds as a convenience for personal consumption in feed reader applications (such as Feedly, Outlook RSS, or similar tools). By accessing our feeds, you agree to the following:
- Feeds are provided under a personal, non-transferable license for your own reading and consumption only.
- You may not rebroadcast, syndicate, redistribute, republish, or retransmit feed content — in whole or in part — through any medium, including but not limited to other websites, newsletters, email services, social media automation, RSS aggregation services, mobile applications, or AI-powered platforms.
- You may not use our feeds to power, populate, or provide content for any product, service, platform, publication, or competing offering.
- You may not use our feeds to create derivative works, databases, datasets, or content collections.
- You may not use our feeds for training, fine-tuning, or building machine learning or artificial intelligence models.
- You may not programmatically scrape, bulk-download, cache, mirror, or systematically harvest feed content beyond what is necessary for personal feed reader consumption.
- You may not strip, modify, or remove attribution, authorship information, or copyright notices from feed content.
We monitor feed access patterns and reserve the right to restrict, throttle, or block access to feeds at any time for any reason, including suspected rebroadcasting, excessive request volumes, or automated harvesting. Violations of these feed usage rules constitute a breach of these Terms and may result in permanent IP blocking and legal action.

12. Content Moderation and Takedowns
We reserve the right to review, edit, reject, or remove any content submitted to or published on the Platform at any time and at our sole discretion. This includes stories, job listings, and any other user-submitted content.
Submission Review
All submissions are subject to review before publication. We may use manual editorial review, automated systems, and AI-assisted tools to evaluate submissions for quality, relevance, accuracy, and compliance with these Terms. We reserve the right to reject any submission for any reason, and we are not obligated to publish any content submitted to the Platform.
Content Removal
We may remove previously published content at any time for any reason, including but not limited to:
- The content violates these Terms or our editorial standards;
- We receive a valid takedown request from the original content owner or rights holder (for example, when a user shares a link to an article, report, or other material they did not author, and the copyright holder requests removal);
- The content contains or links to proprietary, confidential, or restricted information that should not have been made publicly available;
- The content is found to be inaccurate, misleading, or outdated;
- We determine, at our sole discretion, that the content is no longer appropriate for the Platform.
Takedown Requests
If you believe content on the Platform infringes on your intellectual property rights or contains your proprietary or confidential information, please contact us at . We will review takedown requests promptly and take appropriate action, which may include removing the content and notifying the submitter.
Users acknowledge that content submitted to the Platform may reference, link to, or summarize external articles, reports, or materials that the submitter does not own. We are not responsible for verifying the original ownership of all linked or referenced materials, but we will respond to legitimate takedown requests from rights holders.
13. Right to Revoke Access
We reserve the right to revoke, suspend, or restrict any user's access to the Platform, API, MCP server, or any other Service at any time and at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Violation of these Terms of Service or our Privacy Policy;
- Suspected scraping, bulk downloading, or systematic content extraction;
- Excessive or abusive API or MCP usage that degrades service quality;
- API key rotation or creation patterns indicative of evasion;
- Submission of spam, fraudulent, or misleading content;
- Unauthorized redistribution, sale, or commercial exploitation of Platform content or data;
- Any activity that we reasonably believe poses a risk to the Platform, its users, or its content integrity.
Revocation may include deactivating user accounts, revoking API keys, blocking IP addresses, removing submitted content, and canceling email subscriptions. We are not obligated to provide advance notice or justification for access revocation, though we will endeavor to notify affected users when practicable. Revoked API keys may be retained in a deactivated state for audit and security monitoring purposes.
14. Reporting Abuse
If you think anyone is violating any of these Terms, please notify us immediately. Please report any suspicious activity or potential violations to .
15. Service Usage
Assurcast provides content through its website, API, MCP server, RSS/Atom/JSON feeds, email broadcasts, and AI-assisted tools. Content is curated by our editorial team and contributed by registered users through our submission review process. Sponsored content and job listings with paid boosts are clearly identified.
The Chrome Extension communicates with the Assurcast API to fetch feed content and job listings. Personal data stored by the Extension (notes, tracked jobs, checklists) is stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers.
You may only use these Services for legitimate personal and professional purposes. All content accessed through the Platform — including content accessed via RSS, Atom, and JSON feeds — is provided under a personal, non-transferable license for your own consumption. You may not redistribute, republish, rebroadcast, syndicate, sell, or otherwise transfer Platform content to third parties without our prior written consent. This prohibition includes using feed content to power newsletters, websites, aggregation services, AI tools, or any other product or service. We may throttle, restrict, or terminate usage at our discretion.
16. AI-Assisted Tools
The Platform provides AI-assisted tools to help users create and manage content, including tools for drafting story submissions, job listings, and campaigns. These tools may be accessed through the Platform's built-in features, the API, or through third-party AI assistants connected via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server.
AI-Generated Content
Content produced with the assistance of AI tools — including text suggestions, summaries, and field recommendations — is generated by artificial intelligence and is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, current, or free of errors. AI systems may produce incorrect, misleading, or fabricated information (commonly known as "hallucinations").
User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of any content created with the assistance of AI tools before submitting it to the Platform. By submitting AI-assisted content, you represent that you have reviewed it and that it meets the same standards of accuracy and truthfulness as any other submission.
AI-Assisted Review
Submissions to the Platform may be reviewed using AI-assisted tools in addition to or in lieu of manual editorial review. AI-assisted review may evaluate submissions for quality, relevance, accuracy, completeness, and compliance with our editorial standards. We reserve the right to approve, modify, or reject submissions based on AI-assisted review at our sole discretion.
Third-Party AI Integration
If you connect a third-party AI assistant to the Platform via the MCP server or API, you are responsible for all actions taken by that AI assistant using your API key, including content creation, data access, and any submissions made on your behalf. We are not responsible for errors, unintended actions, or Terms violations caused by third-party AI tools acting on your behalf.
No Reliance on AI Output
You should not rely on AI-generated content as professional advice. AI tools are provided as productivity aids only. Any decisions based on AI-generated content are made at your own risk.
17. Compliance with Laws
You are responsible for using the Assurcast Platform in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction. We are not responsible for your compliance with local laws.
18. U.S. Export Controls
The software that supports the Services (the "Software") is subject to United States export controls. None of the Software may be downloaded or otherwise exported or re-exported in violation of United States export laws. You're using the Software at your own risk.
Liability
19. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you assume full responsibility for any loss that results from your use of the Platform and the Services. We and our Team won't be liable for any indirect, punitive, special, or consequential damages under any circumstances, even if they're based on negligence or we've been advised of the possibility of those damages. Our total liability for all claims made about the Service in any month will be no more than what you paid us for the Service the month before.
20. No Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we provide the Platform and the Services as is. This includes all content, features, AI-assisted tools, and any output generated by or with the assistance of AI systems. We don't provide warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any content on the Platform, including curated stories, job listings, sponsored content, or AI-generated output. AI-assisted tools are provided on an "as is" basis and may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading results.
21. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any losses (including attorney fees) that result from third-party claims that you or someone using your account did something that, if true, would violate any of these Terms.
22. Attorney Fees
If we file an action against you claiming you breached these Terms and we prevail, we're entitled to recover reasonable attorney fees and any damages or other relief we may be awarded.
23. Equitable Relief
If you violate these Terms then we may seek injunctive relief (meaning we may request a court order to stop you) or other equitable relief.
24. Disclaimers
We and our Team aren't responsible for the accuracy of content submitted by contributors, the behavior of third-party websites linked from the Platform, the accuracy of job listings, or any third-party services. Sponsored content and boosted job listings are clearly identified but are provided by third parties; we do not endorse or guarantee the claims made in sponsored content.
We disclaim all responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any content generated or assisted by AI tools, whether provided through the Platform's built-in features, the API, or third-party AI assistants connected via the MCP server. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or fabricated information. Users who publish AI-assisted content are solely responsible for its accuracy. We are not liable for any damages arising from reliance on AI-generated output.
We reserve the right to remove any content from the Platform at any time, including in response to takedown requests from content owners or rights holders. We are not responsible for content that is removed pursuant to a valid takedown request.

Any dispute related to the Terms, the Privacy Policy, or the Service itself will be decided by the state and federal courts in Dekalb County, Georgia, USA, and each party will be subject to the jurisdiction of those courts.
27. Force Majeure
We won't be held liable for any delays or failure in performance of any part of the Service, from any cause beyond our control. This includes, but is not limited to, acts of God, changes to law or regulations, embargoes, war, riots, fires, earthquakes, floods, strikes, power blackouts, unusually severe weather conditions, acts of hackers or third-party internet service providers, and changes to third-party APIs or hosting infrastructure.

30. Interpretation
The headers and sidebar text are provided only to make this agreement easier to read and understand. The fact that we wrote these Terms won't affect the way this Agreement is interpreted.
31. Amendments and Waiver
Amendments or changes to these Terms won't be effective until we publish an updated version on the Platform. If we don't immediately take action on a violation of these Terms, we're not giving up any rights under the Terms, and we may still take action at some point.
32. No Changes in Terms at Request of User
Because we have many Users, we can't change these Terms for any one User or group. So no changes, no exceptions.
